Simulacra is The University of Reading’s Online Journal of Philosophy, Poetry & Literature. It is student-run but features works from both students and academic staff. It is currently edited by Adam Godwin on behalf of University’s Philosophy Society.
The site features both formal and informal philosophy (essays and articles), poetry and short stories that have been selected on the basis of originality, cleverness, style, entertainment-value and relevance to our readership: academics and non-academics alike.
Aside from being a vehicle for the publishing of original works, we also feature articles containing famous philosophical texts from both the East and West with a view to prompting discussion.
It is our aim to have fresh content upadated at least once a week. To this end we require your submissions of previous essays, new original articles, short stories and/or poetry.
Submissions are welcome from students and academic staff from all disciplines within The University of Reading.
